Trial Membership has the same functionality save for being available for Gems and doesn't autonew. Once the Membership ends, Toothless will be locked away until the player renews it. Toothless requires an active 3 months or higher Membership to be used anywhere in the game, they will occupy a Stable slot and behave like any other Dragon. The reception of the revamp is generally positive, althought some have expressed disappointment in the model and animations being too close/modified from the adult Night Lights, including the bumpiness being directly taken from the Night Lights. On v3.24.0, July 17th, 2022, as part 1 of the 9th Annversary Update, Toothless received a model and animation revamp with Alpha and skins included becoming the first Dragon to get a full model revamp. In v3.0.0, February 21st, 2019, the Light Fury joins Toothless in becoming the 2nd dragon to be Membership exclusive. It's obtainable with an active 6 months or higher Membership. In v1.21, April 24th, 2016, Toothless receives the Alpha Toothless Look based on the Alpha display from How To Train Your Dragon 2. Players require an active 3 months or higher Membership or Trial Membership to obtain Toothless. The Night Fury, or also known as the only existing speciemen, Toothless, is an exclusive Strike Class dragon released in May 6th, 2014 as part of v7.1 and the first dragon not available at the Store.
